Party Cheeseball

UPDATE:  Looking for gluten free Worcestershire sauce?

Having company over?  Try this absolutely delicious cheese ball.  It’s especially great if you have a bunch of cream cheese to use up (which I do, thanks to all the coupons recently)! Add a few Nut Thins or other rice crackers, and you’ve got a great snack!

Mix together:

  • Two 8-ounce packages cream cheese
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 T very finely chopped onion, optional
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Mix all together and form into 1 large or 2 smaller balls. If you want, you can roll the ball in finely chopped pecans. This gives it a bit of an earthy flavor. It spreads most easily at room temperature.

  4. Doesn’t worcestershire sauce have gluten in it?

  5. My daughter was recently diagnosed with Celiac and so I am still learning what has gluten in it. Does cream cheese have gluten in it? I’m assuming not, since it’s in your recipe, but wanted to make sure all brands are okay?

    Thank You

  6. Is this recipe both gluten and dairy free? My bf’s daughter can’t have either. Just want to sure. Don’t want her to get sick and be hospitalized during holidays

    • No, cream cheese and cheddar cheese both definitely contain dairy. You would be hard pressed to make this one dairy free. Sorry!
