Just a reminder: This deal is only valid through Saturday, 2/23!
Beginning Sunday, February 17, 2013, Target has the following promo going on: Buy 5 boxes of select General Mills Cereal at $2.50 each, get a $5 gift card!
I have tested this deal and it’s even better than I had originally posted! The types of Chex that are included in this Target deal are:
- Apple Cinnamon
- Honey Nut
This is the deal I did:
Buy 5 boxes of Chex at $2.50 each
Use two $1/2 General Mills Cereal coupons from the 1/27 SS
Use one $0.50/1 Chex coupons found here
Stack with the $1/3 General Mills Cereal Target coupon found here
Pay $9, get back a $5 Target gift card
Final Cost: $0.80 per box
I did this deal 4 times, in separate transactions, using the gift card from the previous transaction for each subsequent transaction. It will be up to you whether you choose to use more than one of the Target coupons.
I do want to explain a bit further, just so you don’t think I’m disobeying the terms on the coupon, which clearly state “one coupon or offer per guest”. I had quite a lengthy discussion with the Target manager a while back, when I went in with my husband and used 2 of the same coupon in one transaction. I considered each of us a guest, but she argued up and down that even though it said “guest” it meant “transaction”, and that I could use as many of the coupons as I was allowed to print, as long as they were in separate transactions. I strongly recommended that Target change their terminology to state what they actually meant, but apparently that is what my Target is training their cashiers, so I figured I would go along with it. Just please make sure you’re following the rules at your particular store.
