Dollar General: Libby’s Canned Vegetables $0.20 Each!

Dollar General has Libby’s Canned Vegetables 14.5 to 15 ounce on sale for just $0.45 each through Wednesday of this week! This is a great sale price. Add in a coupon and you get canned veggies for just $0.20 each! Here’s how:

Buy 4 Libby’s Canned Vegetables at $0.45 each = $1.80
Use the $1/4 coupon from the 11/11 RP
Final Cost: $0.20 each

Rather than make a special trip in to Dollar General just to find that they are out of stock (which could be quite likely), you could just take the ad to Walmart or Target and price match!

Please Note: When I went in, I bought 12 cans, but the cashier had to split them up into 3 transactions (1 coupon per transaction). The coupon does NOT state “per transaction” it states “per purchase” but apparently only the first coupon in the transaction would scan, she knew from previous experience, so she split them up for me! Just a heads up to avoid a hassle. :)

Please Also Note: I can find absolutely no gluten-free information on Libby’s vegetables. We have always eaten them with no problem but they make no statements about cross-contamination, etc., so please use your best judgment, since you know your family’s needs best!

Buy All Detergent at $4 
Use the $1/1 coupon from the 4/1 RP
Final Cost:  $3

All Detergent for $1 at Dollar General!

This deal definitely works! I ran to my local Dollar General today and found All Free Clear for $3.50 as advertised. I bought 2 of them. Then, I used two $1.50/1 DG coupons found here, and stacked them with two $1/1 manufacturer coupons from the 1/1 RP. The only hitch I ran into was that the cashier had to split them into 2 transactions. She told me they were in the process of fixing the computers to allow both a manufacturer and a store coupon on the same item (apparently it has been their policy, but the registers were not allowing it!?). So it is only partially fixed as of right now.

Makes no sense to me that I was able to use 2 coupons on 1 item, but not 4 coupons on 2 items. But she was really helpful and apologetic that it was a hassle for me (instead of making me feel crummy) so I will probably go back there, and maybe start posting a few more Dollar General deals!

Dollar General: All Detergent for $1!?

Dollar General has All Detergent 28 load on sale this week for $3.50. There is also a $1.50/1 Dollar General coupon available, which can be stacked with the $1/1 manufacturer coupon from the 1/1 RP. Just go here to print your $1.50 DG coupon (click on “Save Now” and choose All. You will need to email 3 friends or share on Facebook.

Dollar General’s coupon policy is here. Of note, it clearly states “Maximum of two coupons per item. One coupon must be a Manufacturer’s Coupon and the second coupon must be a Dollar General Coupon as long as neither coupon states that it is not valid with other coupons.” As far as I can tell, neither of the coupons states that (I checked them both carefully).

Note:  I rarely shop at Dollar General. I went twice, and had terrible experiences with coupons both times. However, if any of you have a more coupon-friendly store than I do, hopefully this will be of help to you. I have another store a few minutes further away, and I might just try that one. This is a really good deal, and we need laundry detergent, AND All Free Clear is my favorite.

If you printed the $1/4 Libby’s Vegetables coupon that I posted about here, you can get Libby’s canned vegetables at Dollar General (or price match at Walmart) for $0.15 each! Here’s how:

Buy 4 cans of Libby’s Vegetables at $0.40 each
Use the $1/4 coupon previously available (or the coupon from the 8/28 or 11/13 RP – I did NOT get this coupon so it must have been regional)
Final Cost:  $0.15 per can!
